My first criterion purchase: I was walking through Costco, about twelve or thirteen, and recognized this movie (from IMDb? Watchmojo? Who knows). I picked it up and was very confused by the price but got my dad to buy it anyways. And seven or so years later here we are. A great film. Much more slapstick than I expected. Very distinct characters, very ‘70s, very Cat Stevens. Brilliant ending montage—Ashby’s lauded background as an editor is apparent.
